Details of the Scam: Hello Sir,
I hired a person named Hafiz Ali with WhatsApp number 03433794352 for YouTube CPM Loading on a 50-50 partnership via WhatsApp on May 14, 2023. All dealings were conducted on WhatsApp.
Hafiz Ali sold me a monetized YouTube channel named Daily Reviews with AdSense change ON, made on email sasedriwan@gmail.com, which he was going to use for CPM work. He faked handing over the channel to me but never completely gave me control of the channel and email. Both the channel and email remain in his control.
I paid for the channel as follows:
- Rs 3000/- to 03176088156 entitled Sultana Zari via Jazzcash from my Easypaisa wallet 03014037479 entitled Muhammad Usman.
- Rs 3500/- to 03107981579 entitled Tanveer Masood via Easypaisa from the same account.
He initially helped me log into the account once but then refused further access, citing Google policy that required his phone’s permission. He took an additional Rs 3600/- from me on 03107981579 Easypaisa (Tanveer Masood) to buy RDP and VPN for CPM work, which should have been covered by his share of the partnership.
On May 16th, 2023, he sent video proof that our channel generated USD 1862, with 50% (USD 931) as my share. However, he then demanded an additional Rs 22000 as a fall tax for MCN, which he never mentioned before. He falsely claimed that tax needed to be paid before withdrawal, while tax is typically deducted from the withdrawal amount.
When I suggested he cover my half of the fee and deduct it from my share, he agreed and said he would return the account on May 22nd. He then faked a deal with a third party to cover my fee, using a fake screenshot. Upon contacting the third party, I discovered Hafiz Ali was attempting to scam them similarly.
Now, he refuses to return my money, the account, and the tools. Despite providing 03143176579 as an active number, it was always offline whenever I tried to contact him. Threatening him with my Uncle, a sub-inspector in Police, had no effect.
Please address this case under the FIA Pakistan Cybercrime Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 (PECA).
